My Name Is Ava DeCapri and I run Trapdoor Studio. 

I am a designer, ceramicist and native Evanstonian. I moved back to Evanston two years ago with the goal of creating Trapdoor - A space where craftspeople and the Evanston community can come together to shop local and learn about craft and design. I have a passion for responsible manufacturing - utilizing both new technology and age old craft techniques - and want to share that with my community. 

Our space is shared and generously donated by Studio Armadi, a kitchen and Interiors Design Studio run by Marta DeCapri - my Mom! Thanks for supporting us and being apart of our community - our doors are always open!
